Congress in Vuokatti
On the occasion of the congress in Vuokatti, interesting lectures were held.
The Congress has highlighted the strengths and chances and possible weaknesses of the ISIA.
ISIA is ready to govern developments and continue to make a major contribution to the snow sports business.
In a compact summary, we were presented with the economic situation with many figures and statistics. Various designs have shown how snow sports are promoted in the countries.
It was also interesting to see how the disabled sport is promoted in San Marino. The lecture from the Y-Generation has shown how the new clientele lives and what possibilities the social media platforms offer us.
It is also pleasing to see how many members adapt their training to the ISIA standards and strive to obtain the ISIA-Card qualification. The training film by Sandi Murovec also delighted the audience.

The Assembly of Delegates
The statutarian points were adopted without votes against. The request of the older ski instructor candidates to grant a time difference in the giant slalom was rejected by those present.
Once again, Gilles Chabert has made his displeasure of the ISIA towards customers and partly criticized the work.
Interski Ushuaia
The OK of Interski 2015 in Ushuaia has shown the latest information about the program and the infrastructure from the destination. The preparations are going well and the work for the slope (demo slope) is largely complete. Now the destination was expecting the
Registrations of the nations so that the hotel bookings can be made. The exact program for the ISIA event at the congress will be highly elaborated. A parallel slalom is planned during the week.
Presentation of the ISIA at the FIANET
Last winter, we were able to attend the ISIA Congress of Mountain Railway Operators and present the work of the ISIA. I was amazed at how many nations did not know the ISIA and its activity for snow sports. We are convinced that direct contacts are important and need to be maintained. Now, however, it is important to also present our members in their countries to the cable car companies and explain what the ISIA does and why a good cooperation between ski instructor and mountain railway is necessary.
ISIA Events 2014-15
In Vuakatti, the ISIA has decided to offer various events on the congress topics in the coming winter.
The members have the opportunity to submit any interesting topics that are stopped on the snow until the end of September 2014.
