ISIA News, December 2021

Dear ISIA members,

the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA) very much regrets that Austria, France and large parts of Italy have terminated their membership and thus the worldwide cooperation of the professionally active ski instructors in the ISIA at the end of 2017. Despite some attempts to engage in conversation with these three nations and looking for mutually acceptable solutions, the situation remains unchanged. The many thousands of excellently trained teachers in these regions are primarily the sufferers. From the point of view of the ISIA, the doors are still open for a return of the three national member associations and all 37 member nations in the ISIA want this return. In the interest of a worldwide network of professional snow sports instructors, ISIA will continue to use all options for the return of the three associations, be open to discussions and will gladly look for solutions with the national ski instructor associations of France, Austria and Italy to pursue the goals and interests of the ISIA together again.
